Unique and Antique!

Hooray!! The antique fair came around again!! My favorite little street fair!!
This fair can be a total tease though if you don't have a  lot of money, but nevertheless, I always have fun just walking around and admiring stuff:]
I don't know what it is about old things... but it really intrigues me and entices me to stare and want to buy. What I love about this fair is that you can bargain for all types of things whether it be jewelry, clothing, old furniture, old advertising signs, and even old dolls/toys and cameras.
Its like a treasure hunt ! How exciting!

Hallie and her new friend! hahah!

Old Lunch boxes! and I wanted to buy the old model plane in the back, but someone snatched it by the time I came back to look for it! :[ it's ok!

old brooches, watches, necklaces and rings!

So these are the rings I ended up buying... THAT.. and 5 old random black and white photos that I got for a dollar. I loooooove my rings. It was my goal to find some cute rings to buy. The lady I bought this from let me have them for 4 for $24. (she said about $10 each for them and the blue for $5 but my mom helped me haggle. Thanks momma. hahah). I love these rings because of the unique stones and weird designs. From left to right on the top pic the stones are: moonstone which turns blue in the sun, turquiose, black onyx, and coral.  They are all set in sterling silver. The lady believes these were indian made, but that can always be a speculation! All in all, I LOVE my purchase, and I can't wait to wear them. AND I CAN'T WAIT TO GO TO THE NEXT ANTIQUE FAIR!:]

Let me be Brief

So... I recently went to the goodwill with the intentions in finding an awesome flowey midlength skirt to wear.. but to my dismay.. there wasnt any.. and if it was a decent pattern, it was not the style or size I needed! If you go to a goodwill, you have to expect that you wont always find what you need. A rule of shopping I have: if it doesnt totally satisfy your wants and needs ( size, color, style, price) then dont get it. DONT SETTLE. BUT, if it looks good on you, makes you feel pretty, and is a steal price, THEN GO FOR IT.
So.... instead of buying a skirt... I ended up buying something else that caught my eye. (TYPICAL)
It was a straw briefcase. Too small to be a picnic basket and too big to be a clutch. It was really cute, really unique, and ONLY 6 bucks... I had to!
So the only thing I didn't love about it was the inside. I loved the pattern, but it was all dirty and had some stains in it which was noooooooot attractive (or sanitary for that matter!)
So I changed it into this floral pattern that I had lying around in my house. All I did was use some scissors and hot glue to put it on! Here's some pictures:]

 My Little Straw Briefcase
The Old cloth inside. YOU CAN SEE THE STAINS! hahaha

Took out the old cloth and cut some new cloth to put in:]
and VOILA! the new inside:]

Always fun making things into your own:]

I love my Mother

My mother is a woman  who I can fully say without hesitation is my inspiration.
She is selfless, loving beyond words, kind, generous, joyful, beautiful, creative, and God-fearing.
I am waaaaaaaay blessed to have someone like her in my life.
I can say that I would love to grow up to be a woman like her. She's more than I could ask for in a mother.
I can't help but feel grateful for all the love shes given me. Her love is amazing, and yet, our Lord still loves us more than that.. HOW AMAZING THAT THOUGHT IS!!

Hey mom, one day I WILL buy you that orchid garden and spoil you rotten.
I love you.
