Cruisin

So... last month I got to eat lunch on a boat. A VERY BIG BOAT.. a ship to be exact! hahaha. I got the chance to go to the carnival cruise ship JUST to eat lunch for an afternoon with my family and family friends. The Onates ( family friends) are people who I have literally grown up with since I was around 12 years old... Or maybe younger? I've known them pretty much for a decade of my life. I love these people. They're crazy funny and people who I love being around, and the father of their family is best friends with my dad! hahah. They actually had a relative ( who I'd love to thank again!) who works at the carnival ship and got us in for the afternoon.
Gluttony.. is one word to describe that day.. I ate so much food that my stomach probably stretched 3 inches that day. Crazy Cruise Buffets... hahah.
I never been on an actual cruise.. but its my DREAM to go on an Alaskan cruise or the Disney cruise one day!!!
All in all, twas a good day with good people.. and A LOT of food.
Thanks Onates+JR for a great day!!

Getting Ready for Spring!

One reason why I love the spring:
I get to wear pastels and creams to go with the season!

Gucci watch (with interchangeable colored faces): hand me down from my mom
Wooden beaded bracelet: present from my cousin when he came back from the PI
Charm Bracelet: An old bracelet I wore as a kid from my Mom ( It used to be big, now it fits perfectly!) I love this bracelet cause it has a bunch of landmark charms like the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.

This is a ring that I got for 6 dollars, and I found out that it is actually marked as 14k gold! Great steal. I also love this ring because it's 3 in one. The lady who worked at the store told me that the three rings represented "wealth, health, and love". I loved it even more after she told me.. Let's say.. she's a good saleswoman. haha

I got this shirt for 5 bucks. Loved the color of it.. It's a faded pink color. It immediately reminded me of spring, so evidently.. I had to get it.

These shoes are actually Steve Madden shoes that I got at Marshalls for $15. My mom gave them to me for my birthday. I love the old school feel to them. They look like they're from the 50s and I just thought they'd be the type of shoes one could wear in an old ice cream parlour to drink some soda pop! hahaha.
Also... Hallie kept getting in the way of my photos.. So I just had to let the pup be apart of it.

Hallie is our Labradane (labrador/dane) and she can really be a handful sometimes, but I admit.. shes cute.

paw pals.

Hi Hallie.

 Spring is coming!
try wearing some bright colors to brighten up your own season:]

Polka dotting, Orange circling, coffee drinking kinda sisters.

Ate Hannah is my older sister and I had the pleasure of going on a random date with her today! First of all.. I'm Filipino. So "Ate" is something you say out of respect for an older woman/girl. I didn't "eat" my sister. hahah. Sooooooooooo.. I've been itching to go to Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour and Restaurant in Brea for a while now. So we did just that! Except.. we didn't get any ice cream, but that's ok!!
The place is really cute and I loved the old school, patriotic style of it all. We just sat,  enjoyed the ambiance and each other's company, and ate some humuuungo burgers. NO BIG DEAL:]

After... That huge meal... My sister asked me if I wanted to see the "Orange Circle" cause she wanted to check out this place called the Cafe Lucca, just cause she wanted a fancy cup of coffee:] Also, what's great about this area is that it's quaint and vintage. WHICH I LOOOOOVE!
They had vintage stores left and right and coffee places in every corner.
Can a place GET any more me?!
Ate Hannah's fancy Cafe Mocha at Cafe Lucca

Doesn't she look all spiffy in her retro little polka dot dress?:]

I wanted to share with you guys my outfit!
shirt: GAP stretch polka dot shirt ( found at the Goodwill for $4.99)
Pants: black fitted jeans from Forever 21 for $9.99
Shoes: (the Cole Haan shoes I shared from my last blog) $3.75
Bag: Hand me down from a friend from church ( thanks Ate Gina!)
Watch: Borrowed fossil watch from the Niemster!
Earrings: Fresh water pearls from the PI from my Mother:]

Disregard my vainy hands and feet:[

After the Orange Circle... Ate Hannah got a mani-pedi while I visited my friend Sarah at work. Got to have a good little chat:] All in all.. I had a greeeeeeaat fun-filled day with my sisterrrrr! Thanks Ate Hannah for the great date and for bringing me to a place that you knew I'd LOVE. hahah. I love days like these! Hope everyone else had a great Wednesday:]

Spiffy and Thrifty

So I went thrifting in a little store in my town that sells old vintage things. It is my absolute faaaaaavorite store. It's called Bridge of Faith and I am ALWAYS tempted to buy something. Luckily, I got some money from my lola, which meant... I had money to spend! So while I waited for my mom and Dinah, I went to the store and did some shopping. I wanted sooooo many things.. but I found a few pieces that were at good price and were an absolute steal! I ended up buying two pairs of shoes ( and shoes were also 25% off that day), a dress, and a necklace. I got all these items for $19.02! So 4 items for under 20 bucks! SCORE!

I got a dress for 6 bucks. I loved the color, pattern, and style. I guess you can say... I have a grandma style.. but I really don't care.. It's what I like! hahah. What I also love about this dress is that it came with a matching belt ( you don't see the belt in the picture). All I need to do is hem the dress since it is a little long.. and I'll have myself a wonderful dress to wear when I'm out and about!

I also got this necklace which has stone pendant. The stone almost looks like a moonstone which made me gravitate to it. Get it? Moon? Gravitational pull? hahaha. GEEK ALERT. Anyway. What makes it even greater was that it was only 4 bucks:]

The last, and most favorite things I got were two (slightly used and in good condition) Cole Haan shoes. I believe they are authentic too! I even looked up the prices of Cole Hann shoes today and the type of shoes I got could range from $150-$350 each! I got my 2 pairs of shoes for $5 each ( 25% off would make them $3.75 each!) They are also EXACTLY the style of shoes I've been wanting and are suuuuper comfy.

Not only that.. But I got a free coffee from the bank. AND WE ALL KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE MY COFFEE:]
All in all.. It was a successful shopping day.. I LOVE clothes.. but I hate even spending more than 20 bucks on something for myself, UNLESS the item is for someone else. Who says you can't find AWESOME things in a not-so-extravagant place? I know I did. I'm surprised I could find more things in a thrift store than I could in a major shop. The thing about style.. things could make comebacks.. So why not look through things from the past??
Your style is what you make of it! Wear what you feel good in and what you believe represents you!
If you feel great, you'll look great.
That's my style philosophy.

P.S. I'll post pictures up of whenever I wear the clothes I bought:]

Best PALentines Day.

Valentines Day wasn't too different from any ol regular day..and I believe it shouldn't be!
If you care that much about a person, you should be able to celebrate that love everyday! YAY FOR CORNINESS!
I know some people who believe that valentines day is a total waste of a day.. I would have to disagree. Although it could be a cheesy, media based, superficial kinda day... I think it's always a nice thing to celebrate love ( not only with your significant other but with friends and family!)
Most of all, I cannot forget the love God has given me and continues to give to me day in and day out.
HOPE EVERYONE FELT LOVED THAT DAY
and everyday.

I did get to spend the afternoon with my best friend, which was great.
I also did not expect to get a present and I did.
Best friend + art + red robin burger/fries + coldstones ice cream = Good day, nothing to complain about:]

"I know you always wanted me to make you something.. so I kinda did that.. But I made it a long time ago. It's not much but it's my art book I made when I was 8 years old and I wanted you to have it."

- Nieman Matthew

I love sentimental presents like these. It made me smile... and that means way more to me than buying me frivolous expensive things.

Valentine.

Coffee Lovin

So... If you guys know me, you would know that I'm a coffee person. That might be a gross understatement... I drink coffee so much that I'm probably way beyond being a coffee person. I would think that coffee is permanently flowing through my bloodstream by now. Coffee has become so much apart of my physiological makeup that it has attained necessary intake value to my depleting nutritional diet. hahaha. YAY ME! Well to be honest... the reason I got coffee today isn't just because I wanted to drink some ( although that is one of biggest reasons). It's because of the cute February heart cups they have this month!! :] I know.... I get all excited for the weirdest things. BUT WHATEVER OK!

Anyway... They have them at Starbucks!
AND..... it really excited me cause I FINALLY got one!
ain't it the sweetest thing!

I went to get one yesterday but they gave me a regular cup and I got pretty upset about it.
but I redeemed it with getting one today! HOORAY!
This really cheered me up considering I got a bad grade on my psych testing hw JUST BECAUSE I DIDNT SHOW MY WORK. sigh..

but my happy coffee cup filled with hearts and warm delicious coffee.. You make me happy once again.

Hope everyone is having a great day! stay warm!
p.s. Valentines Day is tomorrow. Hope everyone enjoys themselves in whatever they are doing!:]

Fascinated

So I made a fascinator ( those fancy clip/hat things) I made this a while ago... Made it when I still had long hair! It's not the best, and its not the most durable creation but it turned out okay for a first try. I made it out of the materials I had lying around. The hat itself is actually made out of a shoulder pad I took out of a dress ( the dress Im wearing below) hahahah. I know.. Kinda weird but whatever. I also found some lace trimmings, sew-able pearls, and some tool. It was all sewn by hand. I'm probably not bold enough to wear it out in public because I think its mediocre, but maybe I will after I make a better one:]
